Kinja'd!!!

Third time I’ve seen it this month. I ask the builder what’s going on with this “non-bathroom” hall bathroom. He informs be that it is a shower room — just for the homebuyer’s dog.

So there you go, folks. Replace your main bath with a doggo shower room ASAP.

I would be so mad if I walked into a new home and found a bathroom with no toilet. I’d end up peeing in that darn shower.

Owner is going to use it once, realize washing a dog inside your house is an awful idea, and then never go in the room again.

Hexagons with rectangles? Auuugh! I can’t look at that.

Also, have washed large dogs in a shower. You need a door for containment. This will not end well.

It’s like that time my wife bought rollerblades. She said she was TOTALLY going to use them everyday. Except hers was a sub-$100 miscalculation. This is maybe a $6000 error, not to mention lost equity for deleting a damned bathroom.

The 3 small dogs my parents have get washed in the Laundry Room and my big, 75 lb, Greyhound gets a real bath but he also gets cold so easily it’s hard to wash him outside.

The window being slightly off-center in the middle sections of wall tiles would drive me insane.

I don’t know what it is in the greater Seattle area with the inverse relationship between money and sense when it comes to houses.

Counterpoint: if I had room in my washroom for this, it’d be there. Some people saying ‘hose outside’, but that’s not the best option on this upper thirty degree mud from melting snow days, or if it’s raining outside and doggo played in mud. Would work wonders for kids outside, too.

When they get a shower curtain in there, they’ll hang clothes on the rod, then it’ll be a walk in closet.

My cousins put a dog shower in their downstairs mud room. However, they designed their house and it was built to their specs, so there’s that. They do actually use it a lot, but I doubt they would’ve done it if they were just removing an existing bathroom.

It’s a remodel anyway. And with what things cost in this area, someone is paying a fortune for it. So much here is so overpriced, yet shoddy. At least in other places, it is cheap.
