Was in car the other day, and saw something in the taillight of a 944. Turns out, there was actual fluid inside the rear left light. No, I’m not kidding. It was quite humorous.

When I worked at [REDACTED], one of my van’s taillights had a bit of water in it. I decided to poke the top of the seal with my knife a couple of times just to see how full the light could get. It only ever got around half an inch deep, though. I guess that’s where the original leak was.

You actually saw this. It lubricates your blinkers.

I was wondering if they also had some of this in there:

It’s very possible.

A former co-worker pulled in next to me one day in his pickup, and there was water sloshing around in his tail light, same deal. I was SO excited to tell him that he was low on blinker fluid!

That would be called a leak.

Clearly the blinker fluid leaked and collected in the tail light.
Maybe that’s what has happened to all the BMW drivers that don’t indicate?
