Because I don’t approve of lifted ones. Or at least factory lifts; fill your boots when customizing.
The fact that the nation which basically invented snow got by for 50-odd years with standard ride height on their cars is the strongest argument I know against crossovers.

I can understand that, I mean I have a standard ride height wagon and I get by just fine, but variety is good too. If not for the XC variant, America might not be getting the new V90 at all. Up here in Canada we’re getting both, but I guess we buy more standard height and/or 2WD cars.
That said, I’ve wanted a bit more tire and ground clearance in my car sometimes, I go to a cabin at least once a year that’s at the other end of a quite rough logging road. With an Outback instead of a regular Legacy, I could go a bit faster, and be more comfortable. My Legacy is still capable of doing it, but a bit of a lift would be an improvement for those purposes.
