New doggo has peed on the couch twice this evening. I hope it’s just nerves/excitement of being in a new place. I don’t want my girl to be sick. T.T

A snag is what my dog did: pissed on my wife’s backseat. That was hell to clean.

She actually was really good about holding it on the drive home until we made it to PetSmart and could let her out of the car.

This is one of the reasons that our dogs are not allowed in the furniture. Once the urine goes deep into the foam, it’s almost impossible to get out.

I’m just worried. Like it was completely unprovoked. They’re sitting like this, then all of a sudden my wife goes “my leg is wet”. Dog didn’t even move. The second time the same thing.

I would recommend a dog bed with removable cover.

My wife found a dachshund that escaped from someone’s back yard. The extremely faded collar made it pretty clear it had been an outside dog for many years. We took it to the pound. A couple of weeks later, my wife adopted the dog. Within a day, we found out why it was never claimed. It kept leaving logs in random spots around the house. We worked with it for several more weeks, and even tried crate training, but the dog would even take a dump in his crate. It was a sad day when he had to go back to the pound.

Was she spayed recently? Could be related to that, or a simple UTI. A vet will know better, obviously, but peeing while laying down points to some sort of condition in my (not professional) opinion. Hope it all works out.
