Pancakes absorb real syrup too quickly to photograph, so photographers replace it with engine oil.

hmmm, now I want to find a way to get a quart of oil container and somehow get it clean enough to turn into my syrup dispenser.

That made my tummy hurt just to read.

Also, I love the way burger joint commercials make their sandwich look super tall and juicy, and the actor holds in just such a way as to look like he’s taking a huge bite. But, it doesn’t disturb the burger.

According to the FTC, the rule has always been that as long as you don’t alter the product being sold, you can do what you want with the toppings and accoutrements. So engine oil can’t sell syrup, but it can sell pancakes. Or corn can’t be used to make gasoline, but it...wait, what?
