Kinja'd!!!

Tonight we’re starting with a full and balanced new release IPA from Twin Sails. These guys have been pumping out new beers at a ridiculous rate, and very nearly all of them are excellent.

Flavored water. You know where I SHOULD be right now though? At the Maxim Super Bowl party RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD, drinking scotch.

I’m a little late, but a Maui Brewing Big Swell IPA. I fist tried their beer six or seven years ago while on vacation and I was impressed. They were also the first quality beer I had that was in a can.

Kinja'd!!!

Started with the Anchor Liberty IPA, then the Alpine DIPA, and just poured the Nectar. Hadn’t tried the Liberty IPA (regular Liberty is in regular rotation) or Alpine before, both are solid. The Nectar is brewed at Firestone about 30 minutes away.

Interesting, I have a hard time with most sours but dry hopping could knock the edge off a bit. What do you think?

Yeah it’s less intense than a lot of sours, I don’t know a lot of American examples to compare to, but Four Winds and Brassneck, local to me, make similar, and very good spurs called Nectarous, and Changeling, respectively

About two bottles worth of; late harvest Merlot (11%), Viña Borgia (14%), and Oliver Sangria (13%).

I SAID GOOD NIGHT SIR.

Oh hell yeah. Putting my 6.8%, and 6.5% to shame. I’m allergic to wine, but I do love me a properly strong sour, ale, tripel or quadrupel
