It’s amazing how well they’ve aged. I guess they were just ahead of their time so now they look modern even thought that is a 10 year old car.

The Bangle cars are growing on me, but the Bracq and Luthe cars are the best in my opinion. That said, I do prefer the Bangle cars to the current ones, I mean at least they were unique. The current ones don’t look bad, they just look like different sizes of the same car.

The Bangle design fits much better the coupe (and convertible, for that matter) body than the current 6, where its design needs a long wheelbase to reach its best.

I also like the run of the mill E90's a lot more now than when it was new, but the M3 has always looked great. It’s like they designed the M3 and then tried to neuter it down to a 325i. Oddly, I’ve always loved the E60 since photos leaked out ahead of its debut. Also dammit now I’m downloading a bunch of Z4 pictures contemplating a Z4 shitposting.

The city where i’ve always lived has an E46 M3 with the license plate “2004 M3". There’s also a an E36 M3 somewhere semi-locally, but nothing else.

I didn’t like the E90 when it came out, but the facelift they did turned it into one of my favorite BMWs of all time.
The E60 has really grown on me, big time.

It looks like they did the GranCoupe first and the coupe after. In GC form the M6 is the best looking car of the whole BMW line-up

The GranCoupe launched a little less than a year after the coupe and convertible, but with the reasonable success that Mercedes had with the CLS, Audi with the A7 and Porsche with the Panamera I think there was a quite big possibility that they designed the GC as a priority and the convertible/coupe as add-ons. I think the GC is responsible for more than half the sales of all 6 sold. Also, I don’t know how BMW designations works but the GC comes earlier than the coupe: the Gran Coupe is F06 while the coupe is F13

this car is on my list. partially because of the rarity of a v10 with a 6 speed, (not sure how many r8's have that configuration or vipers were manufactured), and partially just to have 6,8,10 and 12 cylinder options in the garage.

The only problem with the 6MT cars, besides rod bearings, as far as I’m concerned is you can’t turn the traction control completely off.
