PSA: Don't Bake Your Tablet Cover

While cooking dinner with my sister, she set the apparently-ferrous baking sheet on my tablet, which had a magnetic cover, before she put it in the oven.

Eventually, smoke began to billow out of the oven. We were rather perplexed until we saw the melted plastic dripping down from beneath the sheet.

Guess I gotta find new cover for my tablet now…

Had a “microwave safe” plastic bowl burn in the microwave a few days ago, lots of acrid smoke and I’m starting to fear the smell might be somewhat permanent.
