Many have this great story line that’s only designed for one or two seasons. They should end after the story runs out.
Take Prison Break, which imho is the perfect example. End of Season 1: They broke out of prison. End of story. But no, it went on and on. It shouldn’t have.

I gave up on Orphan Black a few episodes into season 3.
Shows I gave up on? Fear the Walking Dead. Holy shit is that terrible.

So AHS doesn’t connect season to season, if you don’t know. You can watch any that sound interesting to you, in any order.
S1 - Murder House
S2 - Insane Asylum
S3 - Witchcraft
S4 - Circus
S5 - Hotel
S6 - um, not sure because I’m behind and avoid spoilers.
I’m not sure if I would call any of it scary as a whole, but there are moments. More so in seasons 1 and 4.

1. I’ve gone back to rewatch. I’ve gotten past where I originally stopped. It’s still interesting thus far
2. Still watching. This season not as great. I think the second half will pick back up.

I do tend to finish shows, but I have given up on a few. The two that come to mind immediately are Supernatural (I quit halfway through season 10, which was about 5 seasons too many) and The Walking Dead (halfway through season 5)

I couldn’t finish Breaking Bad at the end of season two or beginning of three I realized that I wanted every single character to die of cancer. Having lost a father and losing a mother to cancer I don’t make that wish lightly. Except Jesse, he gets a pass for the Yeah, Science Bitch meme.
Six feet under was so interesting in the first season, then it just dove of into drama for the sake of drama. The episodes that focus on the corpse and story behind it were so much better than the ones that focused on which family member’s relationship was crashing.
