I find it a little unnerving that you’re throwing 3000+ rounds per minute, and the only way to aim is to just guess, and then adjust from where that first burst lands.

Well, you normally have tracers in the ammo mix to follow and optics/sights can be added too. Once stabilized, the mad fire rate ups your chances of making contact.
Regardless, if you happen to be firing at a moving target or while moving yourself, that makes any sort of target engagement a challenge.

The tracers won’t help with the first burst though, and with that kind of firepower whatever you’re pointing it at is probably going to be mutilated. I just would expect that getting it right the first time would be more important.

You’ve always got to find your POI (point of impact) on any sort of gun. Full auto complicates things and you will have to lead it in.
Also, firing in full auto is not going to be “accurate” either. However, concentrated fire is possible.
In conventional machine gun world, you’re generally taught 3-5 round bursts for any sort of actual targeting. Of course, that just isn’t possible on an M134 when the cyclic rate is so high.
