Heart-broken for Chiyo-san, and another rough night for the factory RJM Nismo team.
On the bright side, the #24 GTR is completely repaired and was out doing laps before the #23 car crashed out. Chiyo was coming down the mountain when the right front wheel jumped the curb and brushed the wall, which shattered the steering linkage and suspension. The camber on the esses was likely the cause.
Thankfully theres little to no damage on the right side of the car and Chiyo managed to steer the car away from any walls and onto the run-off safely. His frustration in the cockpit... heartbreaking.
The #23 Nissan was 4th on the leaderboard at the time of the incident. Hope the team can get this one fixed and a set up dialed in for qualifying.
