Kinja'd!!!

This has always been one of those cars I don’t get the appeal of. But maybe spending a day with one will convert me. My goal for 2017 is to shoot feature videos on more 50's classics for Driving.ca. What else should I track down?

I’m also wrangling a shoot with a real Cobra and I’d like to track down a Countach owner. What classic cars should I feature in 2017?

It’s a car for lazily cruising along, enjoying a crisp autumn morning. What’s not to like?

Of course it is not a 300 SL. Nor was it intended to be.

Is there any list anywhere of the cars you have featured until now...?

We’re actually working out a feature with Canada’s oldest operating beer truck! It has solid rubber tires, chain drive, and a gargantuan 4-cylinder. Will keep on the hunt for a COE Ford ;)

Beautiful cars that don’t get driven. Short of Jay Leno, I can’t find a damn person that actually drives the damn things. Now pre-war Cadillac owners are fearless.

All my videos are there. ^^ I really need to make a dedicated playlist of all my classic videos but I spend all my time on Oppo. Off the top of my head we’ve recently done Aston Martin DB6, Citroën 2CV, Alfa Romeo GTV, Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3, some others I can’t recall.

If you’re looking for 50's cars, I’d suggest the 1955 Chrysler 300, C1 Corvette, an Eldorado Biarritz (or Brougham?), one of the ‘57 fuelie cars (Bel Air, Corvette or Bonneville), an Edsel, Adenauer Mercedes, and a Ford Skyliner, perhaps?

You’ve been busy...!

Any Alfa Romeo prior to the 105 Giulias? Aston DB4? Anything bodied by Zagato?

(and please, please a Montreal, even if it is from the 70s)?

Some of those would be easier to find than others - I saw a stunning Adenauer online a few months ago for ~$35k US. A ‘57-58 Eldorado Brougham would be an amazing find, but I’m guessing none of the survivors are driven.

Depends on the part of country, I’ve seen a few out in Michigan and Indiana, but midwestern car collectors are a different bunch.

You own a fintail??? What city are you in? Could we feature your car, if possible?

Kinja'd!!! "fintail" (fintail)
02/03/2017 at 16:20, STARS: 0

Yep I have a fintail. I’m near Seattle, so it might not be the most convenient - I was just showing that the pic was my car, not offering it - although I am open to such ideas (if someone wants to examine an unrestored car). Somehow I recall you are in ON, a bit of a hike. But if you are ever in the area, maybe something could work.

I’d ask if you could feature a 1965-1969 Corvair 4-door, since it’s an affordable classic that I’m leaning towards one day owning.

I’ve found several of them but none are really nice enough to face a camera. Only the 2-doors get cared for it seems.
