Also, isn’t the purpose of selling GS cookies to get the scouts out in the public so they can learn communication and marketing skills while raising money for their troop? Isn’t this purpose mostly defeated by having a shelf full of cereal?

The worst is when they set up a table outside the grocery store and guilt you into paying attention to them. I just want to go in the store and buy some healthy vegetables and lean protein, but the parents put the kids in your way and they smile at you, and ask if you want to buy some cookies, and you don’t want to be a dick to a bunch of kids, so you say something nice while trying to ignore them and not give up money to have your fitness for the next month sabotaged by a bunch of 9 year-olds.

People are selling boxes on ebay for a significant markup over the $2.99 in-store price.
Still, you’d have to sell a lot of boxes of cereal on ebay to turn a reasonable profit. Not like those people buying up TDIs to turn in to VW at a profit .
