Didn’t take a long time to get used to the shape and size. And I really really REALLY love the different scroll modes. I didn’t think both ratchet and smooth scrolling could be useful, but I find myself switching frequently. And man, that scroll wheel can really rotate for a while.

And it looks futuristic. Like something out of Dues Ex where they came to there senses and realized touchscreens are shit, except for phones obviously.

Two scroll styles? Since when did mice get so fancy and futuristic?

My wireless mouse scrolling wheel is noisy. But the shape is great for solidworks or creo parametric.

I’ve had two M705s and two MXs and they’ve all been great. I was looking at a new MX or MX Master but the prices are ridiculous here in the U.K. For them.

I may treat myself, it’s payday today. ;)

Logitech has been around for a while only dealing specifically with peripherals. I like that they keep their focus on that and not try to have 20 other products (cough*Razer*cough)

Peripherals is a pretty broad space. I mean Logitech does, or has done:

Mice

Keyboards

Joysticks

Game controllers

Wheels

Speakers

Microphones

Headphones

Internet Radios

Remotes

Mobile Cases

Mobile Docks

Webcams

And probably some stuff I’m forgetting.

I’m on board with that.

I’m currently using the mouse that came with the Lenovo computer

Which as you can imagine isn’t ideal.

Pie for lunch.

Ullswater pie (sausage meat, chicken and apple and apricot stuffing) and bacon and egg pie.

I know my Performance MX has it, while my MX Revolution was smooth scrolling only and the MX1000 was clicky scrolling only. It’s good though, I hated the smooth scrolling on the MX Revolution, while having the mode button gives me something to absentmindedly fiddle with.

I’ve had the Performance Mouse MX, the predecessor to your mouse, for about 5 years now and it still works great. I’ve considered the upgrade, but just don’t see a need to. Easily the best mouse I’ve ever used though.

Apple’s peripherals suck anyway. That mouse is an ergonomic disaster.

When you have small hands their mice aren’t so bad.

This mouse was pretty awesome when I was a kid.

I have SUPER long fingers so using a magic mouse it torture. My hand has to be all curled up in a really uncomfortable position. I was troubleshooting my mom’s old iMac and after 5 mins I had to go grab my mouse because my hand was already cramping.

Those mice, and the iMacs they were connected to, were the shit.

I used to use the Magic Mouse when I had Macs exclusively. I was okay with it, but then I went back to it after having used a standard Logitech mouse and I couldn’t get over how low profile it is.

That being said, the new one feels fucking fantastic.

And my elementary school had a computer lab full of those iMacs. It was the shit.

It’s something that’s been around since the MX Revolution. Once you were scrolling fast enough it would automatically switch to free scroll. On the next high-end mouse, the MX Performance they got rid of the automatic change and you had to press a button to witch between scrolling modes. The new MX Master works the same way as the old MX Revolution.

Oh yes ! Wonderful mouse ! It’s my 4th MX mouse (started with the MX 1000, then Revolution and after that Performance, and now Master), and I loooove it. It’s nice to go back the automatic switch for the scroll modes, was kinda missing the MX Revolution on that.

The new software, Logitech Options, is absolutely awful though....

yeah but they keep working on improving the mouse and keyboard the 2 things theyre known for. Theyre not trying to all of a sudden make a cellphone or tablet or some other crazy venture (google what are you doing?)

I use razer as a recent example because their stuff seems to be all over the place now. less mice and keyboards are introduced but yet they love having the next “call of duty mice bundle variant” which is just the same bundle from 2 years ago just with some graphics on it. cmon.

Oh you can ! I’ve set it up so I can use the previous and after button to change track in spotify, and you have an option to assign a keyboard shortcut to a button.
