Kinja'd!!!

Much cooling. Wow. So ebay. Very cheap. As it turns out, it was cheap because it’s stock thickness, not three inches thick like the ad says. The tanks? Yeah, they’re three inches thick. The core is totally OEM

Kinja'd!!!

Dat waist.

Don’t really care about cooling capacity, I just care about how fuckin cool that aluminum tank is gonna look in my car. Also getting rid of my rapidly-degrading stock 120k-mile-old radiator with its brown plastic tanks.

The three inch tanks on the stock thickness core got an audible chuckle out of me.

lol, yeah. I couldn’t care less, it’s going into a bone stock car I just figured if I’m replacing my radiator I might as well jazz up my engine bay a little.

Whuahaha, that did make me laugh a bit. As long as it performs properly. Im guessing you didnt burn a hole in your wallet paying for it?

Is the core higher fins per inch? also the higher capacity of the tanks should help as well.

Polished aluminum != chrome

I think the core is actually an OEM core. But yeah, the higher capacity tanks will probably have a minor cooling effect, not that I really need it or particularly care either way.

It was a whole $80. I was going to get an OEM-sized replacement then I saw this and went “ooh pretty”. It should do the job nicely.

If possible, get a sacrifical zinc annode to protect your cooling system. electrolosis is often a problem with aluminum radiators, especially with cars that sit a lot.

Damn, I know I shouldn’t post before morning coffee, but I do it anyway.
