There was a house in Kansas City (Well, Blue Valley) when I lived there that was apparently built on a snake nesting/breeding ground. Come that time of year they suddenly were overwhelmed by hundreds of snakes.
I was like 10 when I lived out there, so I don’t remember all of the details, but the family decided to basically leave the place to the snakes.

The only think worse than snakes are venomous snakes. And the only thing worse than venomous snakes are toilet snakes.
THIS is why I gladly live in the frozen north and shovel snow and chop ice. The snakes here still give me the screamin’ heebie jeebies, but at least the tiny rational part of my mind knows they are harmless.
