Over time, I’ve come to believe a mouse is not something you skimp on. It can make or break your experience.

I used my Logitech G5 for more than 8 years, only recently replaced it with a G502. The wheel on the G5 kept going out and I kept repairing it, but it was still strong otherwise.

Ooh I’m curious how it is. I decided to finally replace my very old MX700, but couldn’t bring myself to spend that much. I got an M705, which I’m not loving so far.

This is my first serious mouse. I’ve only used cheap Logitech mice and Apple mice up to this point. About time I treat myself.

How do you like it? I was looking at getting one a while back because my old MX laser has gotten a bit worn (the rubber coating has almost completely worn off, and the remains of it look nasty), but the price was a bit high at that moment.

Never skimp on the mouse.

I picked up a Logitech G5 ( <3 adjustable weighting cartridges) 10 years ago, still works flawlessly.

Hammerhead is correct, SetPoint is great for gaming/graphic design/editing apps.

A lot of people scoff at the idea of spending $80 on a mouse, or $120 on a keyboard. They’re things that I have my hands on for hours every day, might as well get nice ones that will last for many years. How many people will spend thousands on an ATV that they only ride for a few hours per year?

I bought a Das Keyboard II about a decade ago (made in Czech Republic!), and a Logitech G500 mouse probably 7 years ago, and they’re both going strong!

My wireless Apple mouse doesn’t always work well, so I use it only to scroll, and a regular mouse to move. You’d go crazy.

I bought a Logitech G5 back in 2006 or 2007 or so, and it’s still going strong. The paint has been worn off in most places, but damn it’s one of the best mice I’ve ever used.

The only reason why I don’t use it at home anymore is because I need a wireless mouse and bought a Logitech G602, which I think is also fantastic. The G5 is now the mouse I use at work, since the shitty OEM mice they provided stutter a lot (i.e. when I’m not touching the mouse at all, the cursor is basically vibrating on the screen).
