So I realized it’s been awhile. Lots of work has been happening. I’m living in the house! If you haven’t seen the other updates, here’s the link. ...Kinja is being dumb again, so everything is just going to be in the image caption. Oh well.

The photos of the main floor are outdated, but still an update from my last post. The window trim, base board and quarter round has all been added and I hung curtains in all the rooms. I’m still trying to unpack and take final pictures. But instead I went to Daytona for the 24 Hour and now I have a cold.

I love your kitchen. LOVE. Totally adore it.

I’m curious about the heating in the breezeway - just radiant flooring? Long story on the heating in my house but I think the easiest way to heat it will be a freestanding gas stove, which should adequately warm every room except the laundry. Maybe that should be my solution.

The breezeway doesn’t really need to be warm, per say. You really are only in it going between the house and garage and basement. It’s not bad now that we replaced the windows and added insulation, so with the bit of heat from the floor it will be fine. Just enough to feel not freezing. The rest of the house has forced air heat so it’s solid.

Yeah, similar to the laundry room for me really. It used to be a porch so it’s separated from the rest of the house by an exterior wall but I need the pipes to not freeze without spending a fortune trying to heat it. I like this idea.

Looks great! I love the tile with the black grout and your kitchen is incredible. I really like the purple accent wall in the living room. I gotta have a splash of color here and there.

Wow, a ton of work but going so great! Black grout is the best invention ever. Also looks amazing.

I’m not a purple kind of person, but your use of it as a contrast to the greys and greens (I just really like that green with the blacks and whites) is quite lovely. Black grout is ingenious; I didn’t even know that was a thing.

Kitchen is lovely; I’ve lived and cooked in smaller, but after several years in my current house, I wonder if I’ve been spoiled by all the extra space. The exposed brick is a nice character touch that I’m sure someone will find fault with. (That that you’d care what someone else thinks anyways.)

Now I’m immensely curious as to how that bathroom is going to turn out.

Kinja'd!!!

I was measuring and using spray paint for hours today. I think I’ve decided that the toilet will be in a little closet, and the shower and sink are just going to be open. I just don’t have enough room for doors...

Oh hi. I turned the floor heat on now and it’s fantastic. The room is definitely warm and I have trouble luring the cats out of that room. They sit on a rug and look out the window all day.

Oh man I’m jealous! I decided to get it installed in my whole downstairs but naturally haven’t gotten to that project yet. Thanks for the review!

Thankfully it’s 70+ here right now but hopefully by January I can get started on that.
