This reminds me of some “upgrades” that were done to my old apartment back in Los Angeles. Before they did the work I didn’t have water leaks through the ceiling and all of the electrical outlets worked, but not afterwards. Oh, and my kitchen TV wasn’t on fire.
One minor thing that pissed me off was the fact that they didn’t put a plate around the relocated light switch in the hallway. I didn’t think much about it, went to the hardware store and bought one for about a quarter rather than letting those incompetent boobs back in my home. That’s when I found out why they didn’t put a plate one - they cut the hole too big and a standard plate didn’t cover up their crap workmanship. Thankfully there were larger plates available, but it just drives me crazy that this kind of half-assed workmanship exists. I learned early on when getting bids on projects to immediately throw out the lowest and highest bids, and then pick from the remaining ones.
