This has been parked in my grandma’s carport for about a year now. The owner, her neighbor, doesn’t have space for it (his garage/driveway is filled with jeeps and 50/60's trucks) and she has way more space than she needs for one little Prius.
So every time I come over to wash my car I see this beautiful thing, and think about how sad it is that it no longer sees any use. Every time I visit there’s a new cobweb, a new spot of dirt, a bit less air in the tires... Should I... Should I try to change that?
It doesn’t seem like the owner is too attached to it, and we’ve worked on car projects together a few times so it’s not like we’re strangers. And I mean, just look at it! This isn’t a garage queen. This isn’t what you see an old dude wheel out to cars & coffee once a month. This thing is so raw, so visceral! It’s beat up, scratched to hell, with a giant wing, a V8, and one of the only racing stripes I’ve ever been a fan of. Maroon leather interior, pop-up headlights, removable roof, what look like deep dish steelies (?). I just don’t know a whole lot about Corvettes prior to the c5. Especially with the work put into it, I would have no clue what a reasonable offer would be. Here’s a few more pics

Looks to be a 79-82, factory motor was crap. the C3 suspension isnt great for going around corners. But it does seem to be in decent shape, check for structural rust. The common misconception with vettes are because they are fiberglass they dont rust. They do just not in easily viewable places.

C4= like so. The C3 ran from the late 60s up until ‘82, and you can tell the general vintage by what bumpers they have - chrome bumpers = pre-’73, ‘73 has one set of chrome bumpers (rear), ‘74 is full duroplast, and ‘80-’82 has a molded spoiler on the rear one.

Same here. And then get rid of that awful red interior.
But then other than regular need maintenance parts I think I would leave it alone.
