Kinja'd!!!

This is exactly the cabinet configuration I’m looking for for my bathroom remodel. His and her sinks on adjacent walls, 30" wide, two drawers and one cabinet door. Routed faces and ladder pull handles, dammit!

Hoping to start sometime before my house is paid off — 2045.

That’s the weirdest chandelier you’ve posted thus far.

So glad you’ve got a jar of flower petals right there on the counter.

Those things are always so hard to find when you really need ‘em.

I feel like it’s weird to have the pull on the trim on the door, but centred on the drawer? Maybe not? I think it would look weird the other way as well?

That could even be a Home Depot vanity, those things are cheap AF. It’s the counter top/sink and faucet that get you.

That’s one of the downsides to having Shaker cabinets I guess. I have Shaker cabinets in my kitchen and it doesn’t really bother me, and I have the same pulls as in the picture.

Yes, when you’re just studying a small area such as this it makes it more noticeable. On a larger scale though, I don’t think it’s as bad.

Idk man, I couldn’t stand that. I need my counter space!

Nah, that’s how doors are. Ever see a door with the knob in the center? They do exist (late 70's-mid 80's thing), and those are freaking WEIRD!

That’s why we went with shaker cabinets but slab drawers in our kitchen remodel. For the drawers, the pulls are centered on the top skinny drawer, then down the same distance from the top on the larger drawers.

One of these days, I’ll post pictures of the finished kitchen with the countertops.

I meant put the pulls at the top of the drawers rather than centered, instead of centering the door pull. Put yes center knob doors are weird, and show a poor understanding of how levers work.

Menards (if you’re in the midwest) has pre-cut granite and sink combos that really aren’t that bad. I put a 60" in my in-law’s house a few years ado, and I think it was only two or three hundo for the set.

So do I — which is exactly why I’m doing this. My wife and I share a 54" vanity and it is completely covered in her shit no matter how much I protest. She also stole my only drawer last month. With the remodel, she can have her own counter to trash.

Gotcha. I probably would do it that way.

Actually no, I’d do it however my wife wanted, because life is short :)

We have one of those on the house we rent. It always amazes people and it is quite pretty. It has an oriental themed plate around it due to the owner’s heritage.

I’m going to be redoing my kitchen this summer. I’m hoping to convince my wife to do shaker doors and slab drawers like that ... so I don’t have to make so many damn panels :)

I mean, I think it looks good to, but really I just want to make my life easier.

It won’t work. We have a double vanity with a floor to ceiling storage cabinet right in the middle of it. There’s a ton of counter space, cabinet space, and three drawers on both sides, yet my wife still manages to invade my side whenever she can.

I’ve been known to scoop all of her stuff into a box and deliver it back to her side of the bathroom. This is usually a scorched-earth move which results in considerable fallout for several days.

We thought about it both ways, but decided that having shaker drawers made it look too busy.

There was a development in the town I grew up in that offered them as an option. They always bothered me.

We’re very happy with. We now have more space than we know what to do with.

I updated my bathrooms, bought granite for the smaller bathroom (standard 36"), “leathered” marble for the master (108"). I didn’t change the cabinets, just the counter tops, sink, backsplash. Bought the countertops as remnants for $15 sq ft from Venetian Stone Works in Woodinville. It was $2k for both bathrooms, I demoed the existing countertops and saved $800 in the process.

Powder room downstairs was a pedestal, replaced it with a 48" granite vanity with soft touch drawers for $550 (Home Depot). They go on sale sporadically http://www.homedepot.com/p/Bellaterra-Home-Classic-48-in-W-x-36-in-H-Single-Vanity-in-Light-Walnut-with-Granite-Vanity-Top-in-Black-605115/203631438

The occasional one is cool, many possibly in one area not so much. However a majority were not as ornate as the one on our place so that may help not liking them.
