!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I’m just throwing this out there, I didn’t have a rant or anything. Though I will say Crossovers kick up sales numbers like crazy!

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I’m also going to leave the link for 2016's Best Selling Utility Vehicles. Mostly because those numbers above are usually from one or two Utility Vehicles, not the amount of CUVs/SUVs offered.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Example:

The Honda CR-V was 357,355 of the 560,148 Utility Sales within the 1,476,582 total sales for Honda in 2016. So last year roughly every fourth Honda sold was a CR-V.

The Mazda CX-5 is approaching 40% of Mazda’s sales.

And...

AND....

AANNNNDDDDD.....

....

....

...here are some sales formulas I just made up!

One Utility = HUGE SALES BOOST

Two Utilities = Big Sales Boost

Three Utilities = Whoo, some sales!

Four-Plus Utilities = Ok, you can stop now...

I hate American car buyers. The new CX-9 looks pretty sleek though. I just wish you could get the 6 with AWD and a manual.

Very surprised by the Buick and Lexus numbers. They get a lot more than I would’ve anticipated from “utility” sales. Always knew there were lots of RX models rolling around, but Lexus has a yuuuuge sedan lineup as well. I wonder how these numbers compare to the pre-NX years.

Et tu, Porsche?

My only worry is Subaru because eventually automakers will offer AWD in their compact and mid-sized sedans. At that point they’ll end up mirroring where Mitsubishi’s lineup is heading.

I hope not as well, but they have a much more trimmed down lineup of cars than Lexus does.

Subaru: BRZ, Impreza, WRX/STI, Legacy

Lexus: CT, IS, RC, LC, GS, LS

The BRZ probably will go away one day, but I would be surprised if they ever got rid of the Impreza or Legacy, especially since both serve as foundations for other vehicles in the WRX/STI, Crosstrek and Outback.

TBF, When was the last time you saw a Cayman on the roads and how many Cayennes are parked outside of your office building?

It’s been that way for a while.

With the new Macan, the brand can stay alive for a while. The 911 and Boxster weren’t enough to keep it going.

Yeah I know the SUVs allow for the brand to put out GT3s, but I would have never guessed 63% were SUVs. Especially with the Panamera out there.

I spy with my little eyes some bad math.

On a for real note, I think this chart would be cool sorted by percentage.

I’’m betting 10 Bitcoin those SUVs won’t go flying off the lots if they were badged as something else less than a Porsche.
