New Camaro Really is Pretty Small Now

Kinja'd!!!

Not so much small, it’s more like “compressed.” I still have feelings for the SS, it fit me like a glove (visibility and all) and drove just the way I like! Waiting on the refresh though since sometimes I like the looks a ton and sometimes the exterior looks a bit cheap or “ol’ plastic-y.”

What I mean is that the Camaro went from 6-series sizing to 4-Series sizing and I could actually see it going down to 2-Series Plus. Mustang would match the 4-series and the Challenger would be the 6-series sized option.

But that Corolla proves US midsized sedan sales haven’t dropped, they are just under new nameplates.

And the Tacoma in the correct shade of beige that pulled in just now while I was writing this post!

I very badly want a 6 speed Tacoma in that color

Did the Camaro actually get smaller or did the 4 series just get bigger?? Genuinely wondering, I was under the impression that the Camaro was still pretty big.

Answered my own question with Google. It did get smaller but I still wouldn’t call a 188 inch long car small.. That said I am really turned on by the idea of the current V6 Camaro with the 1LT(that’s the track-focused package right? Why can’t they just call it track-pack like Ford?). I still like the way the Mustang looks better but Chevy is offering a pretty great track-focused option at the mid-range of the spectrum, and that V6 has a lot more charisma than the turbo-4

That’s the one! Don’t really care about the trim, anything current is more luxurious than what I drive now, and I’m perfectly fine with the creature comforts of my E36.

There is no way in hell the person driving that car was able to get out of it. The camry had to have shown up afterwards, and now the camaro can never leave. The doors are 20 feet long. You can’t get out of the car without 5 feet on either side of the car.

Good luck with that, the 6 speed part.

I love those teal NM plates more than the entire state of Michigan.

I often have a deep yearning for a Camaro SS with the 1LE package.

Exterior dimensions are between 4- and 6-series. Although the Camaro’s roof is lower than either. Interestingly, the smaller overall a BMW coupe gets, the taller its roof.

Chevy doesn’t list full interior dimensions but having sat in one myself, I’d equate the interior room with the 2-series.

I can fit in the back seat of my E92 3-series coupe. It’s not roomy but I fit. The 4-series is similar. No such luck in a Camaro.
