Is it a good idea to fly a 1000 miles across the country to buy a Fiesta for like 2 grand off?

How much will it cost you to fly/stay? Where is the car? If it’s less than 2k for you to fly/stay (if you need to stay) and it’s in a cool place. I say go get it!

I bought a car from California and I’m in Wisconsin. I didn’t fly out, I paid for it to be shipped.

Yes because it equals a road trip + a new car.

Nope.
Also, that dealer is fairly sketchy. Lots of salvage title cars/cars with problems work their way into their inventory.

I’d say no

Do yourself a favor and be extremely careful if you want to buy a car from them. I’ve been to their dealerships to look at cars before and most of the ones I saw had accidents, salvage titles, rebuilt titles, rental history, and/or frame damage. Just a heads up.

Is this the car? The link you posted doesn’t go to it.

Who did you send to inspect it?

$12,999 is super cheap - that said, plane ticket would be $400ish probably and fuel would be roughly another $100. You could probably avoid a hotel stay if you’re up for a long day, but if you need that, it’s another $100. Buying a used car remotely also means you should have somebody inspect it for you, so that would be $200ish.
If the $1200ish you’d likely save is worth your time, I’d say go for it, but since others have said this dealer can be sketchy, make sure to have it inspected by a third party before plunking cash down.

That is super cheap, I wonder why that’s the case.
I bought my M3 over the phone, and they delivered it to me. Like Atlas M said, if you get this one, get it shipped.

With their prices so low, I would be extremely suspect.

I wouldn’t for a car like that. Even $2k off, find one locally and haggle down $1k and call it even.

I got it from a private party so I had him take it to a local BMW dealer for an inspection and send me the report. We split the cost.

Some dealers will pay for a one way ticket, make sure to ask.

Used to be in the business in FL. They are notorious for selling cars with branded titles. Most of their cars have a title brand for manufacturers buyback (lemon law), rebuilt, or other defect. I wouldn’t recommend them to any of my friends or family.

My Mom got a CPO Limited with 6k miles for like 4k more. It also doesn’t have a sketch title.

Only thing is that, if they offer a warranty, you won’t be able to use it.
