Time to ignore work and play with it to get it set up the way I had the old one.

Can you restore from the cloud? Best thing when I get a new device is it downloads everything including apps and the way I have them laid out, from the cloud.

Google Play usually installs all your apps from your last phone when you log in on a new phone.

The best way I’ve found to transfer home screens, etc. is to use Nova Launcher, which is my favorite Android launcher anyway. You can back up your layout to the cloud and reload it on the new phone.

But in his case his old phone was bricked so I don’t think there’s an auto-backup and reloading of home screens in those kinds of situations.

Yep, but EVERYTHING has to be updated, and I didn’t want to download 12 new apps on top of them.
