.......oh. I mean it’s clean, I’ll give them that. But that price seems at least $30,000 too high. I mean you can get a really clean, auto, RHD BJ80 for $20k-$25k, less if you’re fine with higher miles and some BC pinstripes. I still think that’s too much, let alone 57 freaking thousand dollars.....

Land Cruiser prices (and parts costs) are why I’m shopping for squarebody Suburbans. Seriously. Sometimes the vehicle you buy is regional. There are a metric fuckton of GM trucks/blazers/burbans in North America.

Yeah no kidding. Everything I want is going up in price, or seeming to disappear completely My last hope for a cheap Japanese 4x4 is a first gen Pajero/Montero/Raider. My friend had a Raider for a while and it was a great truck.

No 4runner? Or are they expensive up North?

They’re more expensive than they should be. The 3rd gens are a good value right now, good engine and many still in clean, stock form. It’s harder to find a 2nd gen without spending too much, and good 1st gens are almost non-existent. There are also imported diesel Hilux Surfs, but those are pricier. Plus my dad had a Land Cruiser, so I’ve always looked for those first.

Nowhere in the world is that worth $57k.

Also, the pictures were taken in Holland...I’m thinking this is a scam ad.

Ohh. Quite possibly, it could also be an importer, they often show pictures taken before the car was shipped.

I do love a truck with no carpet, but for that price I think not.

Check out the pics of the back – did you notice he drew a US-sized plate in paint and then ‘edited it out’? No need to fake a detail like that if the ad and car are legit...

That, plus the unrealistic price, plus the fact that it’s worded like a local ad (i.e. no mention of location, import status, acknowledgement that the pics are foreign, etc.) make me willing to bet it’s a scam.
