Just infuriated that not only is the FP been polluted with cross posting, from the political pages, but apparently Oppo is no long even a safe refuge from the BS. Sorry to drag it onto your post, but it was relevant in that at the moment I feel like leaving oppo, if the mods keep allowing cross posting from political pages. Hopefully now that the offensive material has dropped to the second page it will pass, but it seems a bad precedent. So your suggestion of joining a drive tribe seems well timed for me.

I do not believe that the mods have the ability to prevent posts being shared from the main kinja-verse, I believe the FP authors have more authority. It would be nice to have a system where we could all flag shared posts for removal which would inform the mods that we would like it removed. Even better if it simply went away when enough people voted to remove it.

That idea would get my support, most forums have a flag function, and while this is a blog site so generally not as important, if they are going to allow cross posting to none relevant blogs, they ought to allow those people that frequent those blogs a voice in what they don’t want to see.

Kinja does have a flag function but it is for reporting bad commenters to the admins.
