May seem strange.. but it’s true.. Just look at this

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

The car you see behind the nettbuss Peugeot is my car.. there was no way I could get out.. Had to call the police, but they were busy elsewhere.. By the time the Police showed up the driver of the Peugeot turned up as well, but by then it was to late..

As for the money I lost? Well, I freelance as a technerd for people who need help STAT.. this delay made me late for a job.

So yeah.. NEVER trust anyone working for nettbuss.

Dude obviously can’t park, but how did that lose you $500?

Apply pressure to front axle with bumper, use snow-slipperiness to help swing car out of the way.....

Just don’t forget to leave a note.

Forgot this part of the post “As for the money I lost? Well, I freelance as a technerd for people who need help STAT.. this delay made me late for a job.”

I get payed to fix things ASAP, if I can’t get there within a certain time I don’t get payed.

Try making a claim from Nettbuss?

Kinda my fault, I signed the contract. But this car was parked in that spot for the better part of an hour. Had it been 10 minutes it would not have been a problem.

It’s snowy, I’d invest in a couple moving robots/dollys and then slip them under the front wheels and push the car out the way next time. Obviously not your fault, but gotta do what you do eh?

I’ve thought about it. Not the first time this has happened. But it’s the first time I haven’t been able to get in touch with the driver in less than 5 minutes.

Y’all call that a bus in Norway?

Nah dude. But buss is the Norwegian word for bus. And the guy driving this car is a busdriver.

I was going to say that I would have pushed them out of the way with my car but I’m not sure I would with Forest. Certainly would have with previous cars.

I’d’ve done that with my previous car, but parts for a Saab 9000 are.. well.. not cheap.

My car is just shy of 1,8 metres wide, the space left was perhaps 1,5 metres.. so yeah.

With enough horsepower or speed you could have adjusted it to 1,9 meters.

I would have got a floor jack out, stuck it under the front and pivoted it, then gotten out.

Or just ram it.

Whatever floats your boat.

Floor jack would not have worked. Not that easy to see, but there’s about 2" of hard snow on the ground, a jack would just sink. The guy no longer work for the company though, they fired him. Turns out this was not the first or the last time he did stuff like this driving a company car.

The “not getting paid if you’re late thing” is that your thing or their thing? I work in IT during the day, but freelance nights and weekends. I charge double on the weekend and triple for any time before 6am or after 9pm. I can’t picture not being paid, I’d burn the building down lol.

My thing. If I can’t get there in time you don’t pay (one time offer though). I’m not cheap though, $100 an hour if it’s “normal hours” anything from $200 to $400 if it’s the weekend, late at night, short notice.

Gotcha, that’s not bad then, also a good way to attract new business. I wont move for less than $300 on a weekend. My major flaw is “friend prices” I’m normally $150 an hour but $50 for friends and 9-5 colleagues. They’re my worst clients and I feel obligated to help them.
