We’ll start with my snail! It was super slow at work on Saturday so I changed the oil on El Moose about 800 miles early. While there, I took a pic of muh snail.
Next, a little AMGtech bait (as far as crazy new car issues). We have a 2016 XC70 with an inop tailgate lock. No network codes. Power going into the lock. The lock assembly looks like this.
There is a module that receives a signal that then unlatches the lock. We installed a new lock assembly. Still inop. We tested it while loose by manually locking it. It unlocks with the button but not with the remote. The old one unlocks with the remote but not the button. WTF! We now have a network code for the KVM which deals with the keyless system. We performed a software reload and nothing changed. Power and ground going to everything as it should. Eliminated remote signals and swapping the lock section of it. This kicking our butts currently. I’ll keep whoever wants to know updated in the reply section.

I was doing some yard work stuff and thought i’d record a random plane to show ttyymmn. This was just a small United Airlines Airbus A319 I think. Later on towards sunset, some bigger Emirates and Lufthansa stuff came through this 3rd lane.
I like sometimes on a slow weekends to hop on my roof and just see the planes landing if coming from east to west. If coming from west to east though, I have this neato spot that is straight up Wayne’s World style.
