Greetings Opponauts,

Upon my return from a business trip I learned that NASCAR forgot what an auto race was. However, while preparing a rant for that, I went on Craigslist and immediately got distracted and forgot everything.

Kinja'd!!!

For your consideration today is a 1999 Subaru Legacy GT. It has just over 135,000 miles, a 5-speed, and little pieces of faux wood paneling.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Kinja'd!!!

A quick pictorial analysis shows all aspects of a used car: aftermarket radio, saggy seats, missing trim pieces, and some blemishes to the leather accents. All yours for an asking price of $2250.

Kinja'd!!!

So what say you Oppo, is this the wagon of your dreams? Or shall it be cemented to the crack pipe legacy?

[listing preserved below]

This Subaru runs and drives great!

5-speed manual.

ONLY 135k miles.

Call or text me to come check it out.

Thank you

*Also why do people demand calling or texting, but never put a contact number?

2250 - head gasket repairs = NP

That is a NP CP all day long. Pre really bad head gasket issues although still the 2.5L. That rust is not doing it any favors, maybe a $1,000 car at the most.

Mileage be damned that thing is ROUGH. Unless the headgaskets were done recently... and even if they WERE that’s a $1500 car around here.

If that were local to be, it would be “buy for $1,500, drive to Colorado, sell for $3,500. Ski. Fly home.”

If you hit “Reply” up top, it shows you their number. Still, sometimes people don’t put it in, but being behind a button keeps it from being picked up by bots, I think (I could be wrong about that last part, but I don’t know why else CL would do that).

That’s a rather significant rust hole at the rear wheel well.

I bought a 1997 Legacy (base model, green, wagon, manual) in 2012. It did have rust, but not as much as this one and it was clearly nicer. The starter was bad and needed an occasional whack with a hammer, before we replaced it that is. My legacy was €500.

I used to have one of these in silver with leather seats. Super fun car, no issues with headgaskets whatsoever. That being said, thing was rusted to hell and working on it was a bitch when every bolt sheared off trying to fix anything. After it got totalled I got about 4k out of it from insurance but it certainly wasn’t worth that. This is CP unless it was completely rust free

If a PPI checks out and you’re ok with the rear arch rust, nice price for a beater.
