This looks awesome! I like it much more than the new grill, this is how it should have come stock.

personally I never thought it was the beak itself which was the problem, but the way it was used on some of their vehicles. The TLX isn’t bad. This, on the other hand:

looks like the designer had a parrot fetish.

Too bad the Euro market never got the current gen TLX. My father would’ve definitely bought one. Damn, Honda of Europe has become the Volkswagen of NA in terms of offering uninspriring cars. (The Civic Type R is the exception)

To be fair, that was the first iteration of the beak. With the exception of the ZDX, no Acura wore that beak correctly.

The MDX looks okay though.

But it works best with the ZDX since the car’s design compliments the beak better than the above examples.

Looks a whole lot better than the chrome beak. Works well with the wheels, too.

Accord has been discontinued in Europe in 2015 or so. The TLX would’ve been the new Accord in Europe if there was a market for such a car here, but given the lack of success of the previous gens in the last decade+ they never bothered. Honda hasn’t been offering competitive (according to the market) cars in Europe since the late 90s, hence the utterly decimated market share. It’s become a niche brand. Where I live Honda was outsold by brands like Tesla, Dacia and Mitsubishi in 2016, despite 2016 being a better year for Honda than 2015.

The biggest Hondas you can theoretically get in Europe, other than grey market import, are the Civic and CRV. No Acuras at all.

Here’s the UK Honda website:

Still Ugly, Acuras are for people who barely made it to mid level management and can’t drive their Accord anymore. So they drive an Accord with a different badge.
