After not having a vehicle for almost 2 years, today I bought a 2004 Honda Civic EX Coupe. It’s got 101k miles, an automatic transmission (joint purchase) and only one prior owner.
Very excited to be back, and even more excited to have probably the most sensical car purchase I’ve ever made. Gotta go to the DMV tomorrow to grab plates, so here’s the only photo i remembered to take today. (Engine is off, ignore the lights)
Edit: womp... Went to the DMV. Because he originally couldn’t find the title, he ordered a duplicate. Now I have to wait for that to come in before I can register the car even though I have the old on in my possession... Ugh.

I think that’s the 5 speed in the v6 accords? Haven’t read of many issues with this one?

2001 Civic slushboxes were also notorious for transmission failure, though it seems to have been improved by 2004 comparatively speaking.

I had an 2001, (first year of that new body style.) It had new model teething pains, (front struts, brakes, interior quality issues,) but I thought it was a good looking and nice sized car. Given its a Honda I’m sure the later models were better sorted out. And the EX always had the better motor so it’d be more fun. Congrats.
