Was out today and I found this Lada Niva parked on the street.
The brother of the owner told me his brother wants to sell it and wants between CAD$6000 to $7000 for it.
If any Oppos are interested, I can probably put you in touch with the owner.

Love it! Looks to be in great shape too! Though, as awesome as it is, and as nice a shape as it is in, I’m not sure it would be worth $6-7K...?

TIL Ladas are worth 6-7x as much as I thought they were.

Considering in Russia you can get a brand new Niva for CAD$10,000 it does seem quite high for one from the 80's/90's.

I was very interested until I saw the price...I haven’t seen one for more than $3000 around here, though I do rarely see them. This ones looks quite good from the outside

I was guessing the owner might want $4000 to $5000... at $7000, the price is definitely high. But it’s not like there’s a big supply of those here. If someone decides they want one, their options are very limited.

Yeah... the price is high... but if you’re in Canada and want one, you’re stuck with a very limited selection... OR import one that is 15 years old or older.

I think the price is high as well. But I know these have a bit of a following... combined with limited supply and the seller just might get CAD$6000.
