Hi all! This is a post of various things, as the title implies! Excuse the crappy flip-phone pics!

First, found DOTS...this is the front-right wheel of a 2006-2010 gen Hyundai Accent sedan I spotted in the parking lot of the local Tim Hortons the other evening......notice anything note quite right?

Kinja'd!!!

Secondly, we have this beauty...spotted at the local bowling alley! God bless Canada’s 15-year import rule! :P

Kinja'd!!!

And NOW, for the awesomesauce! I’m not really a truck guy, but any petrolhead can see this is one special beast! We finally, come to this big ole girl...parked in the lot of one of the local, small, rural, volunteer fire departments. Dodge D600 tanker with 4WD from the mid-70's! Was used for fighting forest fires, and support roles for ‘normal’ fires - in service until late last year. From the piece of paper taped to the window, it was up for bids at a local auction at the start of January! Almost NO rust whatsoever other than a bit on the rear-left cabinets and a little on the right cabinets on the back.

Kinja'd!!!

From what I can read from my crappy pic, the paper in the window says:

1976 Dodge D600 4x4 Dual Wheels
360 V8 4-speed Manual
Brake Lock PTO
(?) 16,000 miles (maybe 161,000? - crease in the page there so hard to see, willing to bet 16,000 though considering the shape it’s in!)
700 gal Water tank
Original paint & tires (!!!)
No rust, as is

Would make an AWESOME project vehicle for somebody! No idea if it has sold or not, but I know it was there still when I drove past a week or two ago...no idea what they are asking for it, but I really hope somebody buys her and gives her a great new home and comfortable retirement! If anybody on Oppo is interested in it (keeping in mind I am way up here in Nova Scotia, haha!), I could provide the department’s number to give them a call!

There’s a guy at work who has been driving on 15/20 lugs for over a year. I have to say, if you can’t afford to fix something so relatively inexpensive as that, you can’t afford to own a car. We have (pretty mild) safety inspections here in Texas, but that only matters if the police enforce them (his expired 2/16 or something like that).

Does he know they’re broken? I’m often amazed with the level of things that can be wrong with a car that the owner has no idea.

In my case I mentioned it to the worker who works there that owns that car....he didn’t seem to care.
