For the love of Suzanne, 550 lb-ft of torque! How is that even legal?!! I noticed that the hype train seems to have hit a FedEx truck, but I assure you that the Ford GT is going to be SPECTACULAR ( just slightly less emphasis on the “spec” portion ). Remember the LFA, came out years and months ago? Remember the comparison tests? Remember how Paris Hilton ended up leasing two of them and how there were still brand new ones sitting on the lot just last year? Way too expensive we said. Now we all know that it’s one of the greatest production sportscars in all of automotive history. Cheer up Oppo, Ford’s the good kid!

the F-250 has 925 lb-ft.
just to keep that in perspective, my first truck was a 1984 F-250 with the 6.9 liter IDI diesel. it had 175 hp and 315 lb-ft.

I was just surprised that a majority of the NA V12, twin-turbo V8s, and twin-turbo 6-cyls with larger displacements than this 3.5L don’t make more torque. I’m not even sure the upcoming 911 GT2 will put down more than 550 lb-ft. It’s honestly the only metric these ecoboost branded engines have ever caught my attention with.

Even the beloved 7.3 Powerstroke only had 525 in it’s highest trim. The torque wars are insane. Even 650 is a handful when turning on slick roads.
