While I do agree, the SECOND anything goes wrong due to this (be it an extremist slipping through, market issue, health issue, whatever) There needs to be some control on it and someway to fix the issue. Helping others is the Canadian way, but the safety of me, my family and my friends is well above that.

I understand the concern, and the way the risk is perceived by the general public, but statistics don’t back up the concern. You’re in far more danger from being on the road than from refugees entering the country.
That said, I completely agree that there needs to be a plan for this volume of people entering our system

I trust the vetting process, I mean they’re undergoing more scrutiny than people who already live here are. I’m more concerned about the healthcare system dealing with large jumps in population, and the welfare system when the non-English speakers inevitably have troubles getting solid jobs.

The refugees got the better end of the deal anyway. Canada’s refugees program is one of, if not the best in the world (quality-wise, not size-wise). It truly is a reason for Canadians to be proud of.

Refugees accepted to move in the US have been by multiple agencies over a 2 year span. Canada can blindly accept them... No terrorist would ever choose to go through such scanning when they can just visit the US as tourist and blow themselves up MUCH MUCH more easily.
