Kinja'd!!!

New shift knob arrived from the Bay of E (left) to replace my crappy plastic original (right). Supposedly a used take-off from a WRX STi, but its clearly brand new so it’s either a knock off, gray market, or someone bought out a bankrupt dealer stock. Regardless, the leather and metal feels so much better than the stock one. It’s a little thing, but with the amount of shifts I make in traffic on my commute it will make me happy.

I wish I could easily change out the crappy urethane knob in my S10, but the whole shift lever assembly is one piece and unscrews somewhere under the boot/console.

A cheap plastic shot knob can ruin a car. The Dodge Dart has the worst shifter I’ve ever felt. It’s all hard, hallow feeling plastic, that kind of looks like brushed aluminum if you’re 20 feet away wearing Steve Wonder’s sunglasses.

Cut of the end and weld on some M10x25 threaded stock.

Wow I’ve seen them but never drive mm them and always assumed they were actually aluminum. Guess I should’ve expected that from FCA.

Yeah I’ve seen a few with custom ones, but it must’ve unfortunately required swapping the entire lever.
