Kinja'd!!!

I spend far too much time on Bring A Trailer, as do many other Oppos. I noticed there were a wide variety of vehicles up for auction this week, so I figured I could play a game of “Which Would You Rather?”

Kinja'd!!!

Option #1: 1940 LaSalle 5027 Coupe

This 1940 LaSalle has a full restoration in 2009, and has only been driven sparingly sense. Powered by bored out- 346ci V8 out of a later car, with power being delivered by a three -on -the tree, this car has been restored as closely as possible to period spec while retaining a few hot-rod touches.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #2: 1991 Saab 9000 Convertible

This 1991 Saab is on offer by the original owner, and is available at No Reserve. The car has full service records, and is powered by a two liter, double -overhead cam, turbocharged, inline four backed with a rare five - speed manual.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #3 2003 BMW M5

I don’t feel like writing about this or reading the listing; these cars do nothing for me. If you want to know more about it, click the link.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #4: 1962 Mercedes 190SL

Do you like to play golf? Is the only alcohol you drink 50 - year wine? Are you married to a Vanderbilt? Then oh boy howdy do I have a car for you.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #5: 1987 BMW M6

BMW MPowerrrrrrrrr

Kinja'd!!!

Option #6: 1981 VW Vanagon Westfalia

IMO, this is the best Vanagon, as the air-cooled engine is far more reliable than the wasserboxer. It is slower, but you don’t buy a Vanagon for speed. This example is in great condition, and the 73k miles seem genuine.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #7: 1962 Jeep CJ5

David Tracy just jizzed himself.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #8: 1974 Citroen Lomax 224

Words escape me.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #9: 1971 Porsche 911 S/T Replica

Remember the classic muscle car bubble? Classic muscle cars were bringing big bucks, so people created concours - level replicas, which also brought big bucks. Muscle cars have been rapidly losing value over the past few years.

You see where I’m going with this?

Kinja'd!!!

Option #10: 1974 Jensen Interceptor Convertible

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Option #11: 1989 Toyota FJ62

#hype #bubble #moab #terrorism

Kinja'd!!!

Option #12: 1976 AMC Pacer

This thing is impressively clean.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #13: Custom 1983 Porsche 911SC Targa

This is one of the most impressive Porsche builds I’ve seen. The guy had a vision, and he saw it out, namely with that Pascha interior. I love it.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #14: 2006 Ford GT

These aren’t even that interesting /hot take.

Kinja'd!!!

Option #15: 1958 Fiat 500

Kinja'd!!!

Option #16: Because racecar

Kinja'd!!!

Option #17: 1979 MGB

Kinja'd!!!

Option #18: 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C

Kinja'd!!!

Option #19: 1957 Ford Thunderbird

Kinja'd!!!

Option #20: 1991 Nissan Cedric Gran Turismo

The FJ62 to tow the race car.

I chose GT, but Alfa 4C interests me greatly, and I love anything rear engined and targa topped.

What is the 20 options silliness?

That’s not a 57 T-bird but instead a later four seater. To be honest none of those are on my gotta have list but I would gladly give the Jensen or M6 a loving home.

Alfa 4C, please!

Or — I can haz the black 2000 M-B SL600 with, like, 37K miles on it that just sold for Kia money?

I’d take either the FJ62, Vanagon, or SAAB.

I’m also going to add that that custom 911 targa drives me insane. I coordinated with a custom designer to make a special car for me, and I am going to basically immediately sell it.

Why?

I was meh until this came up, and knew there could be no other for me.

Kinja'd!!!

After the SL, my choices would be: AMC Pacer, Fiat 500, MGB, Ford GT. In that order.

I think for someone who builds a car like this, the design and build process is more fun than actually owning and using the car.

You see the same thing with kit car builders. Drives me bonkers.
