Stuck some bilstein HDs on my Town Car, but left the soft springs on. The ride is amazing. Soaks up potholes, no more seasick ride over expansion joints, lane changes are precise and no longer require counter steer just from the body roll. KYB gas-a-justs are a good stiff alternative to oem police spec too.
After you do that, consider replacing the steering column, steering gear, and ball joints. A few weekends work and a few hundo and it’s like a brand new car, but way better than anything on the market these days.
Also, hella jealous. Would love a clean B Body like this.

I have junkyard-sourced Bilstein HDs on my Aerobody. They’re great for smoothness, but a bit soft for the springs I’m currently running. My buddy has Gas-A-Justs on his P7B, and they put in some damn good work. Oddly enough, I haven’t had issues with the column, gear, or ball joints (although I will be replacing the latter in a few months just because). Great to see someone else rocking RWLs on a Panther.
