So square, so uneconomical, so American . In the words of Mr. Regular, the Suburban is what everyone who isn’t American thinks when they think positive thoughts about American cars.

I think my love of Suburbans comes from positive childhood memories. My aunt and uncle had like 12 kids and they had a Suburban. Probably the only vehicle that could carry a family like that without being a cargo van.

Also, the GMT400 has quite possibly some of the comfiest seats I’ve ever sat in in any car. 90s GM didn’t really know how to BUILD a car, per say. But damn did they make a good seat. Even bargain basement Crapvaliers had comfy seats.

Agreed. The Suburban and the Caprice, my two most favorite Chevies of all time. So classy, so well proportioned, so big, so fuel inefficient, and so much V8. I love it.

I like the body style before that one, late-70s/early-80s, 4wd, with that “shitty” V8 diesel that works just fine and gets 20-24mpg. The ones that the military used a ton of. County Search & Rescue used to use them here in the 90s.

I drove a 2002 suburban for a year and fell in love with it. It Had a leather lined grey interior with the autoride air suspension. That was one of the best highway cruisers I have ever driven. Off road it would go pretty much anywhere as long as you had ground clearance.the amount of shit you could put into it was amazing.

My first car was an ’89 Chevy R1500 Suburban, which was a hand-me-down family vehicle as they upgraded to a nicer ’93 model. I loved it so much that my second car was almost the same, but better: a ’90 GMC V2500 in the exact same Onyx Blank w/ Quicksilver side accent & red pinstripe.

We put 300K on an ‘01 Suburban and it was perfect or nearly so... ride...handling... acceleration...comfort...braking...reliability...durability...carrying capacity...fuel economy (for the vehicle it was)...outward visibility ... even got 160K miles on a set of Michelins and more than that on brake pads

Only thing better is a 2009-2014 Suburban, Sweet Mother in Heaven would I love a lo-miles one of these
