I know its still early but I am ready for the work day to be over and start drinking some brews. I am thinking about picking up some Surley Hell before I go down the Whiskey River, its expensive at $10 a four pack but damn its good. One of my absolute favorites, Pile O Dirt Porter, brewed on the other side of my state. I used to have to stop at the brewery every time I was out there, but they recently started selling cans on my side of the state. Needless to say, I’m really excited.

I have had the green one (cant remember what it was called) from crow peak, my buddy went to college in spearfish and he lived right by the brewery so we would go there when I would visit. I have also been drinking a lot of Fernson when they have it on tap in Sioux Falls.

The green one is their IPA, and I don’t like IPA’s so I’ve never tried it.
I’ve had a few of the Fernson brews which are usually pretty good too. More and more places in Sioux Falls are starting to carry it and they recently opened their own building on the North Side of town as well, which is right down the road from me but I haven’t checked it out yet.

It is an odd place for a brewery for sure, but looking at their website their beers are served at a ton of places all over town so hopefully that’ll help. Building downtown would have been a much better idea IMO.

Looks like that’s the case, the main tap house is down town, but the actual brewery is on the north edge of town. Looks like you can get special and experimental beers at the north location as well, but not downtown.

Same here, there’s still a couple I need to get to, but it’s awesome having several to choose from. If you ever make it up to Brookings, Wooden Legs is another great one.
