Kinja'd!!!

Today’s first flight from Phoenix to Honolulu will be a 767-300ER. This will be my first 767 flight, and I made sure to book a window seat.

Protip: If you ’ re sitting in a window seat, use Google maps to track your progress because you ’ ll be able to get satellite signal. Just look at the maps of your path on the phone before you ’ re out of wifi range and the GPS will do the rest — maps will be cached. Or if you have wifi on the plane, it will update the maps for you. A great way to see exactly what you ’ re looking at down there. (Spoiler: It will mostly be ocean)

My first 767 flight was as a kid in ‘95 (Dulles to Frankfurt) . I did not have a window seat and some guy dropped his 3" thick laptop on me from the overhead bin. Plane has always seemed nice enough to me though.

I havent been on one of these since early 2000's flying from SEA>IAH on what was Continential airlines. I think Hawaiin uses a lot of these. I mostly fly AA so I don’t see them too often.

Hawaiian is slowly replacing their 767s with A330s and A321neos, supposedly this year. 767s are great but they are disappearing quickly.
