Kinja'd!!!

I don’t know the last time I saw an old stock Mustang. At the very least, they always have different wheels.

Not a fastback, but this is the cheapest one near me

Those are also different wheels, as they look like Magnums, which weren’t installed on ‘67-’68 Mustangs. I debated getting a set of these for the Cougar, and imagine at some point, I’ll get some OEM style Styled Steel Wheels/Magnums/something.

That said, that’s a nice, simple, clean Mustang. I loved my ‘67 convertible, even with the 6 cyl and auto. Just a fun little car to tool around in.

Ah, I didn’t know that. The size made me assume they were stock, any others around here have like 17" torque thrusts or whatever those are called. Are these Magnums a period correct wheel at least?

Yeah, definitely still looks good.

Any Torino or Gran Torinos?

Very far from what I could afford. There was a $1000 1971 or 1972 Torino wagon once, I really should’ve bought that....

They are, just a year or two later. Looks like the paint is missing off them, for the most part. Magnums are what you see on Boss Mustangs, and other similar muscle/pony cars. Most are 14" or 15" wheels. My Thrust Ds (the Ds have painted spokes) are 15"x8", so at least they look right (in my mind). I saw another Cougar on 17" Thrust II wheels (the full chrome ones) and they looked too big, to me.

Oh my old mechanic had a ‘67 with the painted thrusts, 15" too I believe. It looked really good

Saw one like this in dark blue while I was running through campus. The smell of poorly burnt fuel was refreshing.
