Had a 2016 Wrangler Rubicon Manual that I did oilfield work out of. Transitioned from a field tech to a project management roll that made the wrangler a bit cramped and uncomfortable. Two laptops, on the phone all the time, fatigue on longer trips from the harsher ride. yeah. I think what impressed me about the various gatherings of gear that I saw was from how far the gear came. Shop guys told me they stopped fixing downhole tools, and were just gathering them from around the country. So they had a shop of broken tools, and a shop of hoarded tools.

Thanks! I looked at the 2017s but first batch of ordering was closed and most dealer markups were $10-$15K over MSRP and the lowest I was able to achieve was $3K over and delivery in May. Couldn’t bring myself to do that.

I was hesitant since the negative stereotype of the Raptor is strong as well but its been well received by everyone I’ve showed it to. I really like the lack of graphics.

Actually part of the deal was they would put on brand new BFG KO2's on, should be coming in tomorrow. I’ve had KOs on my Ridgeline and BFG M/T on my Jeep and never much of a problem until they start cupping, I’ll give the KO2's a chance. No experience with the Duratracs though.

I’ve had it for 3 days and I don’t understand why more people don’t own one. Super comfortable on the road at highways speeds and soak up every bump. Oh yeah, its the 13mpg and HUGE road presence at low speeds.

The Wrangler was great out in the field and on lease roads, it it was strictly a work vehicle it would have stuck around. It was just the in between where I think the Raptor will shine.
