Old shop with some odd rusty classics (studebakers etc...) and I found this.
A sunbeam with hard top, no idea if it’s a tiger or just a 4 cyl. Yes that’s a backwards autozone scoop. Sigh.

So, when I first started at this gig I inherited an outdated copy of the AP Stylebook from a previous editor. Tucked inside was an unlabeled photograph of a green studebaker on the beach with a woman in a bathing suit standing in front of it on a sunny day. I later found out that the photo was taken by the woman’s husband and the photo had been part of some sort of feature.
Dunno exactly why I’m mentioning it here. Maybe because you mentioned studebakers. Maybe because I liked the photo. It was such an interesting peek into a stranger’s story long since told and finished.

20 years ago I almost bought one of those in similar shape, but complete, stupid cheap. I guess I was the dumb one. Really cool cars and they’re damn expensive now.
