IT HAPPENED AGAIN

Last winter I ran over some snow piles that an asshole land owner had plowed into the highway from his driveway and left them there. On a 45MPH curve, no less.

Well, HE DID IT AGAIN!

No damage this time (boulder of snow last time dislodged and dented and cracked the paint on my bumper), and the County Sheriff didn’t care enough last time (under $1000 damage ain’t care was their answer) so I’m not even going to bother calling to complain again.

We have a county ordinance against that vary thing. I doubt it is enforced unless you are really pushing tons of snow into the road. From the screen shot that is enough snow to do damage to a low clearance car, at least they could spread it out a bit.

Sounds like a good opportunity to shovel a bunch of snow in front of their driveway. Better if you have an ATV with a plow.

You can have this slushy icy heavy crap. It rained all day yesterday and turned to snow. Roads be slippery.

It wasn’t worth my time. Although the damage estimate was $600, it was superficial.

The thing that irked me is that they wouldn’t even give the guy a ticket for it.

OH, and the guy at first said he’d get it covered under his homeowners insurance, then suddenly stopped returning my calls...

Shit like this is my justification for why my Mini is getting a skid plate at some point (the real reason is rallycross). I don’t really care about the bumper but if it hit the oil pan I would be in big trouble (cast aluminum on a Mini, super easy to crack).
