VW GTI
Chevrolet Tahoe
Kia Soul
Chevrolet Impala
Mazda MX-5
Chrysler 300
So what should I drive?

its you, you are going to complain about all of them being too heavy and too many toys.
curious to compare the tahoe with the burb, or failing that, a 300.

I’d vote for GTI or Impala. Difficulty: 1981 and 1964, respectively.

Kia Soul if it has the Turbo engine, or the GTI.

Tahoe honestly might not fit in my garage, haha but it could be good to compare.

Soul will likely be the Turbo model. I think that’s all they have on fleet for that model.

If you do get the Kia soul, go to a pet store and buy 50 hamsters, call up Kia and be like I don’t know what happened I was just driving around and these little guys appeared everywhere.

I like that frame of reference. As an aside, I’ve driven a ton of suburbans through the years going back to a 1974 model. Almost every generation since then. My dad owned 4 of them in a row.

I’d be curious to hear about the Soul Turbo. Barring that, the MX5 might get a lot of reviews but hell, why not one more.

Either the GTI or the 300 gets my vote. Although everyone’s point about your experience with Suburbans makes me think driving the Tahoe is a good idea.

I found the Golf R really disappointing so hopefully the GTI can up the fun factor. Haven’t driven a 300 in years.

See, you’re perfect for it!
A couple years ago I rented a big sedan for a road trip. I was pissed when I got stuck with a Tahoe, because that just seemed like driving a newer version of my truck. Then the weirdest thing happened ... I absolutely fell in love with it.

I’ll vote Kia Soul. Never here much about it from enthusiasts, but it seems like it has the potential to be a good car.

Well I didn’t drive it for a review, actually but I just found it kind of uninspiring. It’s really, really fast but also kinda joyless. Feels like a really small S3. Which I guess it is. Engine sound is synthetic, steering is numb, and 3,000 ppund curb weight is a bit much for a hatchback. I dunno, it wasn’t for me.

Canada only now gets the AWD NISMO RS, MY2016 was the last year you could get manual NISMO RS up here. They changed the front fascia & tail lights in 2015, other then that not much that I know of.

Didn’t you already do a Miata? Um, Tahoe or 300? Is it a 300C? Does the 300C still have a V8?
"SidewaysOnDirt still misses Bowie" (sidewaysondirt)

Miata is always the answer, but everyone’s reviewed it already. Do the Soul because no one takes them seriously. I’m a firm believer that anyone who bought a Renegade should have bought a Soul.

Damn. I’d say if it was the Hemi that would change things. But with the Pentastar I say stick with the Soul.

you got all those press cars in one week? We may need to talk- the most I’ve had in a week is 2. Anyway, 300 if it is a 300 Hemi, Soul could be interesting, GTI and MX-5 have been so covered I think that’d be tough.

surprised a sportier VW would have numb steering. Because I don’t think they’ve gone all electric yet (and if they have believe it may be like some Nissans/Audis) that use a hybrid system.
