I think I watched most every episode of Emergency. I played a few episodes for my kids on Netflix, and they liked them. I think what works is that they show (pretty much) what firefighters and paramedics do, but without the extreme drama, gore and sex that comes along with shows today.

Great name. He’s got a lot of Native American in him (his father was from Oklahoma, but his mother was German). I think you can still watch it on Netflix.

Either way, it was an era when people cared about writing good music for TV shows, and the music is as indicative of the era as the shows.

My in-laws don’t have cable, and the various antenna digital channels they get rebroadcast a lot of these. I tried watching CHiPs again recently and hated it...but the car spotting is top-notch.

I never saw Emergency until they had it on one evening. I’m sad I missed it, because I love the truck. I remember syndicated reruns of SWAT were always on before the news when I was 5-10, before stations started doing news at 5, 4, etc. I’ve still never seen an episode of that.

I’ve been without cable for 19 years so I have the same stations. I was getting weak but then youtube and netflix saved the day. I remember liking chips as a kid and then I rewatched it. Ugh simpler time for sure.

Also yeah the truck kicks ass.

Chose not to go with Bionic Woman. I watched the show, but the music paled in comparison to some of the other ones. Almost included The Partridge Family, but David Cassidy. Never watched Space 1999, sadly, though I knew about it. Only watched Star Trek as an adult. My whole family watched the Muppet Show. God, I miss Jim Henson. Oh, wait! I just remembered another one.

The Monkees Greatest Hits was the first album I ever owned. Actually shared. My siblings and I sent away for it by mail through an offer that played at the end of each episode.
