#2576@35 on the plate, any thoughts on what that means if anything?

Burnout looks like some wide tires

I’ve been thinking about it, but nothing comes to mind immediately. I’m sure it has some meaning though.

A Challenger with traction!! The car doesn’t even accelerate at that point, it simply claws into the Earth and moves the planet a 1/4 mile backwards. It’s powered by the dark matter engine from Futurama!

I was thinking more along the lines of the cats that stop the plants rotation. Maybe Dodge is run by evil cats! Hellcats!

Tire size? But it doesn’t translate well.

That blower noise makes me tear up a bit. I love that screeching whine.

Yeah I was thinking tire size at first, but that would be a 101.4 inch wide tire, with a 35.5" sidewall!

The numbers mean something. And what size do you think. Like 355s?

One article I read is suggesting maybe 2576 lb-ft @ 3500 rpm to each driven wheel.

C&D seems to have some info: http://blog.caranddriver.com/wide-body-dodge-challenger-demon-gets-drag-radials-as-standard-awd-too/

#2576@35,” which we interpret to mean that it will make 2576 lb-ft of torque at 3500 rpm, again, to each driven wheel. Considering the rear-drive Hellcat makes 4010 lb-ft at each driven wheel, the Demon’s lower figure in comparison may mean it will feature all-wheel drive.

Does pretty good burnouts to be AWD.

Ha. Well I am positive that it weighs more than 2576 pounds.

If it wasn’t a Challenger, I’d think maybe it had to do with weight.

Well, its not AWD so they are wrong there.

2576 sets of tires destroyed trying to get to 35 mph?

After gearing, apparently the hellcat was 4010ft-lbs to the 2 driven wheels after gearing in first gear. With AWD and maybe a shorter final gear I can see those numbers being the same calculation after splitting the torque between 4 wheels.

My and others guess is that there’ll be a “line lock” that allows burnouts by disconnecting the front driveshaft. Its just a transfer case, afterall.

I was going to assume 355s, similar to the Viper so they could maybe use the same tires as the ACR, but that might be too wide for that chassis.

I bet someone’s put 355s on a Challenger.
