Probably a pretty nice base model one, and somewhat of a ratty T/A

A really nice driver quality T/A . Probably an automatic at that price.

Just for you, I’d drop it to $14k

A relatively nicely sorted one along the lines of mine. Really for a super nice show quality Special Edition with original engine, manual trans, and interior and stuff you’ll be looking north of 20k. But for 15k you could easily get a Trans Am with a non original engine auto trans that looks and drives perfectly well. For the best bang/buck look at the 79-81 cars especially those that have had engine swaps (those later year engines were trash).

Pretty much anything 1974-2002 in decent to excellent shape, with perhaps the exception of the 89 tta and the last anniversary edition.

you could get a good one with T-tops for 15k probably
You gotta have T-tops, that’s like the most important part of those cars!

Something along these lines: https://www.carsforsale.com/vehicle/details/23823591 which I’m not sure is a T/A since that looks like a Formula hood to my non-expert eyes.
You could save some bucks by going for a Camaro instead. I don’t think my running and complete but needing body work and paint ‘71 is worth more that $7k-$8k.
